Title: Using Light and Sensory Modalities in Trauma Hypnosis
Key concept: Understanding how trauma clients respond to any form of therapy is important and can be especially useful when using clinical hypnosis in their session.
This video will give an overview of what to be prepared for, how clients may react, how clients may respond, and the sensory modalities needed to help them get in touch with their bodies and feelings. A demonstration of the process will follow, incorporating the use of light and distance Reiki. Clieints will learn techniques that will help regulate symptoms and process past wounds.

Biography: Christina Matthews LCPC CHI RMT
Christina has a 30+ yr. history of teaching and music performance and is a recognized conference speaker on the subject of trauma. She currently runs her private practice in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Clinical Hypnotist/Instructor, and Reiki Master Teacher. She has two main client groups: PTSD/trauma and students struggling in the school setting. She incorporates Hypnosis, Reiki NLP, Sensorimotor Therapy, and Light and Sound Therapy. She is a graduate of the Adler School of Professional Psychology and is a Certified Hypnosis Instructor for the ICBCH. She provides MBSR training to local school districts and she trains hypnosis for clinicians both in her office and at Equilibrium Energy and Education in Chicago.
