State Change is Not Lasting Change
Title: State Change is Not Lasting Change
Many hypnotists get frustrated when their clients results don’t last.
Other hypnotists don’t follow up or confirm that the clients results last more than a week after the session.
The truth is, there are lots of variables to account for when creating lasting change with a client. Too many hypnotists think future pacing is enough to confirm that the client has reached their goal. When this is incorrect, the client might feel like they have failed, or that hypnosis doesn’t work for them.
We need to be aware that state change is a temporary thing, and that it is the doorway to lasting change when properly utilized.
Shifting someone from anxious to confused or from stressed to relaxed is a great start. What we do before and after that moment is what helps make a difference for the long term success of that client.
